In post-war-torn Burundi, mothers are facing hardship — many have fled violence and are now struggling to care for their children in refugee camps. Vincentians are there with them, and have found a simple but profound way to help: goats.

These goats provide nourishing milk to feed babies and children, and they offer a sustainable income as mothers sell milk and breed new goats to support their families. More than that, they provide hope. Caring for their goats has given them a renewed sense of purpose. But, they need more goats. The goat pen can fit 500 goats. Let’s fill it up.
